Tasting notes

Its bouquet releases a range of aromas, in which red and black fruits mingle with sophisticated notes of minerality and subtle spices. On the palate it is generous, well-balanced and velvety, with polished tannins that lead to a long finish. This wine showcases all the grandiosity of such a legendary terrain.

2016 Vintage

2016 was a vintage of extremes. The vineyard’s cycle began later than usual. April and May were cold months, but the wet spring suggested that a plentiful harvest was due. The summer, on the other hand, was extremely hot and long: September was the hottest month on record. These conditions helped the winery make up the time lost earlier in the vintage, but it also meant the start of the harvest had to be brought forward, and had to be completed very quickly.
