Stargazing Nights 2025:

• Planetshine (30/05): the shimmering moon, when gently illuminated by the sun, is such a beautiful image. The stargazing session will begin with this curious phenomenon of planetshine, before observing Mars and other celestial objects.
• Mars and Full Moon (10/06): Observation of Mars at the start of the night, while the full moon gradually takes over the sky.
• Summer Solstice (20/06): We celebrate the summer solstice by contemplating the spring and summer sky, as well as some of the visible constellations and celestial bodies.
• Mars and Full Moon (09/07): Observation of Mars at the start of the night, as the full moon gradually takes over the sky.
• Moonless Sky (24/07): We will mark the absence of the moon by contemplating the extra-dark summer sky at night.
• Meteor Shower (30/07): Peak of the Delta Aquariids meteor shower, accompanied by a fine waxing crescent moon.
• Full Moon and Shooting Stars (07/08): Near-full moon in the summer sky, possibly joined by shooting stars from the Perseids meteor shower.
• Moon and Saturn (31/08): The Moon and Saturn battle to outshine each other in the glorious night sky.
• Full Moon and Saturn (05/09): The full moon and Saturn, in all their splendour.
• Saturn (14/09 – 19/09): The best time to observe Saturn and its rings.
