The alma mater<\/b><\/p>

Abad\u00eda Retuerta finds its essence and raison d’\u00eatre in single-vineyard wines.<\/p>

Its alma mater is Pascal Delbeck, who was the ideologist and gave life to what we know today as the Abad\u00eda Retuerta winery. From his hand came \u00c1ngel Anoc\u00edbar, its current winemaker and director, and who took his baton. Now it is he who guides expert hands to create one of the most unique and singular wines that best reflects the personality and uniqueness of the terroir. <\/p>

He was born in a small village in the province of Navarra. He studied Viticulture and Oenology at the “Escuela de la Vid” in Madrid. Later, he moved to Bordeaux where he obtained his Diplome Nacional d’Oenologie, Diplome d’Etudes Approfondies. And it was in 1998 when he obtained his doctorate in Oenology and Ampelography with the European label, being the only Spaniard to achieve such a title. <\/p>

After his career in France, such as at Chateau la Jalgue (Cubeirac) and Calon Segur (St. Est\u00e9phe), he began working at Abad\u00eda Retuerta in 1996 under the direction of Pascal Delbeck, French vigneron and advisor to the winery.<\/p>

Anoc\u00edbar has received numerous awards, as have the wines it produces, which have received high ratings and medals from critics.<\/p>

In 2005 he was named Winemaker of the Year by the International Wine Challenge (Wine Magazine) and is a member of the International Wine Academy of France.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Pascal Delbeck<\/b>: vigneron and consultant
Descendant of a family in the vineyard for 5 generations and with viticulture and enology studies in Bordeaux and Libourne, in 1979 he began to develop patents related to the work of the vineyard and wine, such as the gravity racking system, the “ouillage” system with micro-oxygenation, harvesting in small boxes, the sorting table or the concept of transporting the harvests, among others.<\/p>

He currently owns Ch\u00e2teau Tour du Pas Saint-Georges, in Saint-Georges Saint-Emilion, and also advises many properties abroad, Turkey, the United States and from its origins Abad\u00eda Retuerta.<\/p>
